Bryanna accepts briefs in all areas of law, with a particular focus on intellectual property and consumer law.

Before coming to the Bar, Bryanna was a solicitor in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Allens. As a solicitor, Bryanna acted for clients in disputes concerning all types of intellectual property rights, as well as allegations concerning the Australian Consumer Law and passing off, in proceedings before IP Australia, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Federal Court of Australia.

In addition to contentious IP matters, Bryanna has considerable advisory and transactional IP experience, having worked on the IP aspects of market-leading M&A transactions and strategic investments, and advised clients on complex IP licensing arrangements, franchising and distribution agreements, and IP protection strategies. Bryanna also spent a year in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group at Allens, where she advised on schemes of arrangement, share and asset acquisitions, and corporate governance in a variety of sectors.

Bryanna was previously an Associate to the former Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia, the Hon James Allsop AC. In this role, Bryanna was exposed to first instance and appellate proceedings across a broad spectrum of the Federal Court’s jurisdiction, including proceedings concerning commercial contracts, insurance, insolvency, competition and consumer protection, commercial arbitration, migration and industrial relations.

Bryanna holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) and Bachelor of Science (Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry) from the University of Tasmania.
